Shree Vighnahar Ganpati Temple is located in Ozar village, in Junnar Taluka, Pune District, Maharashtra, India. Ganpati Bappa idol here is Swayambhu, which means it is self-originated and facing to east. also known as Shree Vateshwar Ganpati Temple.

Many festivals are celebrated here, like Ganesh Jayanti and Ganesh Chaturthi. During festivals, a large number of devotees visit the temple. near the temples there is many shops selling flowers, durva (grass), and sweets which you can offer to Ganpati Bappa.

The temple was built in 1785 by Chimaji Appa, the brother of Bajirao Peshwa, to celebrate the victory over the Portuguese at the Vasai Fort. there is a lake behind the temple which is very peaceful and good for photography.

How to Reach Shree Vighnahar Ganpati Temple Ozar

  • From Mumbai: Around 180 km
  • From Pune: Around 90 km

If you are coming from Mumbai, you will pass through Malshej Ghat. After crossing the ghat, the road is very smooth and clean, making it enjoyable to drive.

While coming from Lenyadri (another Ashtavinayak temple), you reach a junction called Naneghat Phata:

  • Take left to go to Ozar
  • Take right to go back to Malshej Ghat

The distance from Lenyadri to Ozar is around 15 km and takes about 20–25 minutes. The road is straight and without traffic, making the drive smooth and fast.
