Badrinath Dham is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in India, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, nestled between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges in the Himalayas. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is part of the highly revered Chota Char Dham Yatra, along with Yamunotri, Gangotri, and Kedarnath.
Situated at an altitude of 3,133 meters (10,279 feet), the temple stands on the banks of the holy Alaknanda River and is believed to have been established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century.
