Reach Dehradun one day before the helicopter yatra starts. Stay overnight in a hotel in Dehradun. In the evening, a representative from the helicopter company visits the hotel to brief you about the yatra and give duffle bags for limited luggage (5 kg per person). Heavy luggage is not allowed.
Day 2: Travel From Dehradun to Yamunotri Dham
Morning, reach Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun as per your flying schedule Fly to Kharsali Helipad, the base for Yamunotri Dham From Kharsali, you go to Yamunotri Temple by palki or pony (around 6 km). After darshan, return to Kharsali and stay overnight in a nearby hotel.
