Kedarnath Dham Darshan

kedarnath-yatra

The day in Kedarnath starts early. Most people wake up before sunrise, as the morning here feels special—quiet, cold, and filled with a peaceful energy. The sound of temple bells, the fresh mountain air, and the view of the snow-covered peaks make it a moment to remember.

After a quick morning bath (many camps provide hot water), pilgrims head to the Kedarnath temple for darshan. Early morning is a good time—there are fewer crowds, and the atmosphere feels calm and spiritual.

Inside the temple, the sight of the ancient Shiva lingam touches your heart. Some people sit quietly, some offer prayers, while others just take in the moment. It’s often called the most meaningful part of the entire yatra.

  • Trek back from Kedarnath to Gaurikund (16 km).
