Ram Jhula is a renowned suspension bridge that spans the sacred Ganga River in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Built in the 1980s, this 450-foot-long iron bridge connects the spiritual centers of Sivananda Ashram (Muni Ki Reti) and Swarg Ashram. It holds immense religious and cultural significance, often associated with Lord Ram and spiritual heritage. Unlike the older Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula is accessible to both pedestrians and two-wheelers.
Flanked by ancient temples, yoga centers, and serene ghats, Ram Jhula is a hub of spiritual activity and tranquil walks. The bridge offers sweeping views of the river and the Himalayan foothills, often echoing with the sound of temple bells and Vedic chants. Visitors frequently explore nearby landmarks like Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Gita Bhawan, and various riverside cafés that serve organic and sattvic meals.
